This past weekend I had the joy of watching our oldest granddaughter, Isabella, graduate from high school. How could she be that old????…sigh…
During the ceremony, a graduate of her school gave a brief but excellent commencement address. Here is some background on him from his website: Former MLB player turned artist, Micah Johnson, is the creator of Aku. After hearing a young boy ask his mom if astronauts could be black, Johnson was inspired to create “Aku” a 3D animated character depicting a boy with an oversized astronaut helmet. That same year, Johnson’s art piece: titled: ‘sä-v(ə-)rən-tē took Johnson from retired athlete to creator of the “2020 NFT of the Year” according to Digital Asset Entertainment (DEA).
I found this young man incredibly interesting, so I did some digging on him. One article written about him used these phrases to describe the transformation he went through: he “found his voice”, “took an off ramp”, “found a way to express something deeper” and he “reimagined himself.” A gifted athlete, who entertained baseball fans around the country, Micah determined to respond to a calling to empower people to dream without limits.
I wonder about you. Could it be time for you to take an off ramp? Do you need to express something deeper? Is it time to find your voice? Have you considered reimagining yourself?
If the answer is yes, or even maybe, to any of those questions, please reach out to me. Guiding people in personal reimagination is what we do at Destinyworks. Our coaching can be in-person or virtual. We’ve helped people from all over the world find their voice! How about you?
For our friends in Central Indiana, we’ve got a great opportunity coming up very soon. On Saturday, June 1 from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. we’ll be conducting a Destiny Workshop at Java House, Midtown Carmel, IN. Join us and let the reimagining begin!
May you be well, your calling sure, and your voice clear!
