When was the last time you felt a sense of wonder?

October 13, 2020

When was the last time you felt a sense of wonder? Wonder is a feeling of awe caused by something surprising or delightful.

Been a while since you felt it? Yeah, this long year of our discontent is wearing us down, isn’t it? Monotony is dulling our senses. The goal line of “returning to normal” keeps moving on us.

Wonder has been displaced by the same ‘ol and deep sighs.

There is no magic wand to conjure up wonder. But there is a way, I promise, to begin to experience delight and deep satisfaction even as we struggle forward. Wonder happens when we find ourselves operating within the calling that has been given to us. Seeing the impact of living out the “why” right in front of you is simply delightful!

Here’s what I’ve heard people say as they tangibly lived out their calling, that is, acting in a way that changes the life of another or the community or the world.

“I could do this all day!”

“Wow…I was so engrossed in this that I totally lost track of time!”

“There’s nothing I’d rather be doing.”

“I wish this didn’t have to end.”

People who pursue their destiny are frequently wide-eyed. When they talk about their calling, they talk faster with animation. They sense wonder. I know you want that. And you can have it.

Join me this next Saturday morning October 17 from 9:00 a.m. – Noon EST at my next virtual Destinyworks Workshop and I’ll introduce you to wonder!

Here’s where to register: https://www.destiny-works.com/sign-up/destinyworkshop/

I pray peace for you my friend…and health…and wide-eyed wonder.
